Weekly Publisher Note, May 20-26, 2021

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher May 19, 2021

Welcome friends,

I have to say the joys of working from home begin with the ability to sit on the deck, drink a cup of coffee, work while listening to chirping birds with beautifuf flowers surrounding me/. There is no better way to work. I love that I’m able to live my life around my Macaroni Kid job. What can be better than that?

With this warmer spring weather there are so many events that can be enjoyed outdoors. While businesses are opening up they are still being cautious. These outdoor events include drive-up events, outdoor concerts, summer camps, and so many more local events will be enjoyed by all. I continue to fill the calendar but be sure to double check to see if the event is still taking place in case there are changes due to Covid or weather.

Wishing you all a week of sunshine and happiness!

Coronavirus Update!

It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Calendar update for Macaroni Kid - White Bear Lake, Shoreview, Roseville
I have been adding virtual and in person local events to our calendar as in person events start to open back up. I struggle with the fact that we are a source for events but yet to be safe, large group events are unsafe for the [andemic at this time. I will continue to add both virtual and in-perons events as they safely open back up but please know that it is solely up to you as a family obviously to make the decision on whether you feel safe for your family to attend. The changes we are experiencing at this time seems to evolve by the day. I am not the source to learn about those changes due to COVID-19 but I do want to say that I am doing my best to bring to you  events and activities that are occurring as we all navigate through the uncertainty of this world we live in at this time. With spring there is hope. Let's hope that we all move in a better direction.

I will be sharing resources on our Facebook Page too so be sure to check it out.
Love your family, take care of you. Stay healthy, safe, and happy and have a joyful week.
