Weekly Publisher Note from May 13 - 19, 2021

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher May 12, 2021

Welcome all,

How is your week going? It won't be long and the kids will be out of school for ths summer. With all the changes happening with our state and Covid I am hoping that life will once again have some sense of normalcy. Wow, what a ride it has been. I have learned so many things during the pandemic. The biggest carry away (not that I wasn't aware of it before) but it was clear what was the most iimportant piece and peace of my life. That is the time with family. What would I have done without the fun we would have during the shut-down. We would look forward to our weekend game nights, meals spent together, and just simply extra time to be with each other at home instead of running like maniacs from event to event. Many of us had a disease called "Busy". I have learned that it is up to each and every one of us to only go back to what it is that you cherish. It is ok to say no, it is ok to no longer do something out of habit because you think you have to. Live your life the way YOU want to and enjoy every minute of it. Wishing you all a week of sunshine, happiness, love, health, and peace.

Coronavirus Update!

It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Calendar update for Macaroni Kid - White Bear Lake, Shoreview, Roseville
I have been adding virtual and in person local events to our calendar as in person events start to open back up. I struggle with the fact that we are a source for events but yet to be safe, large group events are unsafe for the [andemic at this time. I will continue to add both virtual and in-perons events as they safely open back up but please know that it is solely up to you as a family obviously to make the decision on whether you feel safe for your family to attend. The changes we are experiencing at this time seems to evolve by the day. I am not the source to learn about those changes due to COVID-19 but I do want to say that I am doing my best to bring to you  events and activities that are occurring as we all navigate through the uncertainty of this world we live in at this time. With spring there is hope. Let's hope that we all move in a better direction.

I will be sharing resources on our Facebook Page too so be sure to check it out.
Love your family, take care of you. Stay healthy, safe, and happy and have a joyful week.
