Weekly Publisher Note ~ March 18 to March 24,2021

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher March 18, 2021

Welcome friends,

With the new lifting of some restrictions in Minnesota during covid I am sure that businesses are starting to feel some relief. Businesses pivoted and created a model that was in compliance with the mandates set forth by our state. We all did such a great job in continuing to support businesses and restaurants through their online ordering, delivery and curbside pick up. I am still in awe at how so many businesses found ways to service their customers safely and with a smile below that mask during such a horrific time. I applaud you all. Many businesses weren't able to make it and closed and many are far from out of the woods but with our help hopefully they can pull through and thrive!

Summer Camps!!! I am so excited to share the variety of options featured in our Summer Camp Guide this year. With limited capacity they may fill up fast so regarding soon mary be a great option.  Check out our Summer Camp Guide HERE!

Coronavirus Update!
Click here to read about updated Minnesota orders.
It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Calendar update for Macaroni Kid - White Bear Lake, Shoreview, Roseville
I have been adding virtual and in person local events to our calendar as in person events start to open back up. I struggle with the fact that we are a source for events but yet to be safe, large group events are unsafe for the Coronavirus-19 at this time. I will continue to add both virtual and in-perons events as they safely open back up but please know that it is solely up to you as a family obviously to make the decision on whether you feel safe for your family to attend. The changes we are experiencing at this time seems to evolve by the day. I am not the source to learn about those changes due to COVID-19 but I do want to say that I am doing my best to bring to you  events and activities that are occurring as we all navigate through the uncertainty of this world we live in at this time. With spring there is hope. Let's hope that we all move in a better direction.

I will be sharing resources on our Facebook Page too so be sure to check it out.
Love your family, take care of you. Stay healthy, warm and safe!
