Weekly Publisher Note ~ March 4-11, 2021

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher March 4, 2021

Welcome all,

Have you enjoyed getting outside this week? With everything mucky because of the snow melting it makes it difficult for a dog or dogs 🐾🐾🐾🐾 to go outside without needing a bath or for sure a paw washing everytime they go out. Aren't they just the greatest though. If you ever need a best friend, a dog is always there for you. They love you on your worst days and on your best days. My daughter has two very sweet but very different doodles. The 2 year old (Labaradoodle) could NEVER do a thing wrong and is SO loveable. He gives lots of hugs and is just so darn loveable. He leans into you and loves every minute of the attention he gets. The 8 month old (goldendoodle) is a spitfire but a very sweet spitfire. My daughter calls him the "wild card" and also the "janitor". Jeter is his name and he is quite hilarious and has NO idea his size. He thinks he is a lap dog and LOVES to cuddle. You can see both of these cuties in the publisher note image above. Jeter is sure to be by Diggs bowl when he is eating because that is when his rob as the janitor takes place. He would NEVER steal food from his bowl but if Diggs, the labradoodle, happens to drop a kibble he is right there to scarf it down. LIterally SCARF it down! He loves to throw his body at Diggs if he isn't getting the same attention when he is getting pet. He is truly still a puppy but to say he is loved any less is not the truth at all. We love their different personalities and are just so much fun to have around. Yesterday, I took them both for a walk. My daughter works from her home and she takes them for a walk and to the dog park every day. Well, I got the stare down and couldn't quite figure it out. They were fed, had been outside for a potty break, we had played, I had NO idea. I finally figured out that a walk was part of their routine. If dogs could only talk huh? I hope you all find as much joy having pets as I do with these two sweet boys.

Enjoy your week everyone!

Coronavirus Update!
Click here to read about updated Minnesota orders.
It is important that we follow the guidelines set out by our government officials. Here is a great handwashing video to help prevent diseases like the Coronavirus. Here is a link to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and more at Whitehouse.gov and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Calendar update for Macaroni Kid - White Bear Lake, Shoreview, Roseville
I have been adding virtual to our calendar and in person local eventsate starting to open back up. I struggle with the fact that we are a source for events but yet to be safe, large group events are unsafe for the Coronavirus-19 at this time. I will continue to addboth virtual and in-perons events as they safely open back up but please know that it is solely up to you as a family obviously to make the decision on whether you feel safe for your family to attend. The changes we are experiencing at this time seems to evolve by the day. I am not the source to learn about those changes due to COVID-19 but I do want to say that I am doing my best to bring to you  events and activities that are occurring as we all navigate through the uncertainty of this world we live in at this time.
I will be sharing resources on our Facebook Page too so be sure to check it out.
Love your family, take care of you. Stay healthy, warm and safe!
