It seems everyone in our community is looking for ways to get out of the house this winter! Fresh air is good for the soul — not to mention it helps to get the wiggles out of the kids.
We put together a list to help you find fun things to do this winter with your family in our community (or just a short drive away!) during these next few winter months.
1.Skating at Shoreview Commons Pond, 4580 Victoria Street N, Open skating only - no hockey
There's a new skating pond located behind the community center is ready and awaiting skaters.
Warming houses are scheduled to be open as well.

2. Snowshoe Rentals are Available with the Shoreview Parks and Recreation Dept.
Rent snowshoes for the family and enjoy the Minnesota winter with the fun activity of snowshoeing! Snowshoes are available for all ages. No experience needed. Click here for more information.
3. Winter Recreation Events with Ramsey County
This is free winter fun for all ages! Experience kicksledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding and more. Free equipment rentals will be available. Events are weather dependent and subject to change or cancellation based on the status of the pandemic. Click here for more information.

Keller Regional Park - Golfview
Dates: February 5 - 7 & 12 - 15

The Golfview parking lot can be accessed by traveling north on Highway 61, between Roselawn Avenue and County Road B.
4. St. Paul Winter Carnival Drive-Thru Ice and Snow Park
The Saint Paul Winter Carnival tickets for its newest attraction, the Drive-Thru Ice & Snow Sculpture Park, are on sale now. Ticket prices start at $20 per vehicle. Ticket sales benefit the Saint Paul Festival & Heritage Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization that produces “The Coolest Celebration on Earth™.” This event will be held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds from January 28 – February 7, 2021. 5. Candlelight Snowshoeing at Cedarholm Community Building
Friday January 29, 6p-8p
Snowshoe along candlelit trails by the light of the full moon throughout Cedarholm Golf Course. Rest by the fire & enjoy hot chocolate afterwards. Registration deadline Jan 27th. Snow shoe rental is limited. If you need to reserve a pair please register under program 9500.305 for Medium and 9500.306 for Large in addition to this program. Register HERE.

6. St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Fishing Contest
Welcome Minnesota Anglers & prepare your tackle for our month+ long fishing tournament! Save the date for our month+ long digital ice fishing tournament through the FishDonkey Mobile App, launching January 1st and running through the end of carnival, Feb. 7th, 2021. 7. Skating and Hockey at the Rose Oval in Roseville, MN
The OVAL is a unique outdoor recreation facility with 110,000 square feet of refrigerated ice from November to March. The OVAL has a 400 meter speed skating track surrounding an infield ice area used for hockey or bandy.
The Guidant John Rose MN OVAL will remain open for activity unless the windchill is -25 degrees or lower. When the OVAL is closed an Alert Box will appear on the Skating Center main page. Click here for their skating schedule.
