Come and enjoy the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Minnesota. You don't have to be Irish to come and enjoy the shenanigans at these St. Patrick's Day events. Dress in Green and show off the Leprechaun in you!


Kickin' It Irish, March 8-17

You don't want to miss this amazing Irish dance and live music performance featuring O'Shea Irish Dance and the Two-Toe Tap Trio with artistic direction by Natalie O'Shea. Kickin' It Irish thrills us with traditional to contemporary Irish dancing with bodhrán, Irish flute, guitar and fiddle - all with flair, humor, and fun. St. Patrick's Day Parade, Saturday, March 16th (noon)

This is a parade you don't want to miss. Bring your family and lawn chairs or blankets and find your spot on the route. The parade has been sponsored by the St. Patrick's Association since 1967. Yes, for 53 years people have come and supported this fun St. Patty's Day celebration. The parade starts at noon and will start its journey down 5th St. E and Wacouta, continues west along 5th to Washington St. and ends on St. Peter and Wabasha St. Click here for detailed route information.


Minneapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade, Saturday, March 16th (6:30 pm)

Bring your family to the Minneapolis St. Patrick's Day parade at Nicollet Mall. Celebrating 51 years of Irish Pride. 


Irish Music and Dance Association's 36th Annual St. Patrick's Day Irish Celebration and Day of Irish Dance, Friday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th

This two-day celebration at the Landmark Center in St. Paul is about all things Irish for your entire family! There will be: Traditional Music, Dance Schools,  Dance Performance Groups, Vendors / Exhibitors, Tea Room, Traditional Food and Great Activities for all ages! 

(Friday only) there  will also be Children's Crafts and a Children's Stage. A Sensory Friendly St. Patrick's Day is on Sunday, March 17 from 10 am - 5 pm. Click here for more information.

Tickets for this event are $7 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 and seniors 65 and over and may be purchased at the door on either day. Kids 5 and under are free.  


Irish Heritage Weekend, March 16 & 17

Come to the James J Hill House in St. Paul and enjoy Irish organ Music, songs, needlework demonstrations and stories about Irish settlement in Minnesota. This event will be on Saturday, March 16th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday, March 17th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Included with site admission of $10 adults, $8 seniors, veterans/active military and college students, $6 ages 5-17, free age 4 and under and MNHS members Purchase tickets here or at the door. 

Saint Patrick's Day Dance, Sunday, March 17th (7-10 pm)

Come dancing on Saint Patrick's Day! Authentic Irish folk dances that YOU do. We'll teach and call all the dances, and there will be many friendly, experienced dancers who love helping newcomers along. This is an alcohol-free and kid-friendly event, with kid-favorite dances early in the evening. Dress in layers; it's energetic dancing!
