Do You Want To Build a Snowman Lunch?

A Healthy, Creative and Fun Lunchtime Treat!

By Jamie Twarogowski January 14, 2016
We’ve all heard “Don't play with your food!", but sometimes we need to break the rules and have a little fun with our meals. Here’s one fun idea, perfect for the winter season.

Build your own snowman lunch! Super easy, so fun, and healthy too!

Start with a quesadilla or a sandwich, cut into different size circles; jars, mugs and cups worked perfectly to cut our quesadilla. Then you'll need assorted finger foods to create the snowman.

Some examples are included below, but use anything you have on hand.
  • Baby carrots cut diagonally for the nose
  • Raisins for the eyes and buttons
  • Pretzel sticks for the arms
  • Almonds for buttons
  • Apple or orange slices for a hat
Put everything in little bowls and let your child build her own wintertime friend. She can eat and recreate over and over.

So go ahead and give yourself permission to play with your food. Create a healthy snowman and enjoy!
