Easter Egg Celebrations

With Easter around the corner I thought I would compile some Easter celebrations close or in our communities. What an exciting time of year for the kids. A time where everyone is dressed up in their spring colors, bonnets, and It is always so wonderful to see the excitement in the kids' eyes as they spot that egg or see the Easter bunny. Along with what Easter signifies, the holiday embraces hope for the season. Here are some of the celebrations that I found. Please feel free to share with me any other Easter Celebrations that aren't on the list. This list will continue to grow so check back.

1. Three River Park District (all locations are listed on this link)
Celebrate spring with “eggciting” events throughout the metro area. Whether it’s hunting for hidden eggs along a wooded trail, meeting live animals, or enjoying a Victorian Easter Egg Roll at The Landing, Three Rivers has a spring holiday event you and your loved ones can enjoy! Check out their website to see the variety of egg related events are being held this year. Their events are scheduled between 3/28/2015 and 4/4/2015

2. Shoreview Egg Hunt 
Join the Bunny in an old-fashioned "eggciting" hunt for prized-filled eggs! Each participant will be given an Easter bag for the hunt. Register by March 20. Space is limited. The Shoreview Egg Hunt is held outdoors on March 28th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., so please dress for the weather. Register online.

3. Easter Egg Hunt in Maplewood
at Edgerton Community Gym, 1929 Edgerton St. Maplewood Saturday, March 28
Pre-hunt activities will begin at 10:00AM. The Egg Hunt will start at 11:00AM Children ages 3-5 (11:00AM) and ages 6-8 (11:30AM)
Mark your calendars for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! We will start our morning off with breakfast treats, colorful crafts and a visit from the Easter Bunny - then its happy hunting! Children will be divided into two age groups and will be hunting for wrapped candy and plastic eggs, some of which may be redeemed for great prizes. Bags of goodies will be available for children under 2 years of age. Don’t forget your camera! In the
event of inclement weather, treat bags will be given away at 11:00AM at the Edgerton Community Gym. Cost is $5.00 per child.

4. Macy's Flower Show - "Art in Bloom"  March 22nd through April 4th, 2015
Join us at the Macy's Minneapolis store in Minneapolis, 700 On The Mall Minneapolis, MN 55402  for the annual Macy's Flower Show and experience the multi-dimensional mastery of Art in Bloom! Marvel at the gorgeous displays inspired by centuries of artistic genius and created from thousands of flowers. Stay for special in-store events featuring the vibrant colors of our incredible exhibits! Free and open to the public.

5. Easter Egg Hunt at the James J Hill House April 4th from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Celebrate spring at the James J. Hill House with an outdoor egg hunt on the lawn. The hunt is for children ages 2-7. Participants can win prizes, enjoy a small snack, hear stories and look around the first floor of the elegant Gilded Age home. When the Hill children enjoyed their own egg hunt in 1898, Mrs. Hill noted in her diary, "a large gray and stray rabbit joined them most unexpectedly." Reservations are strongly encouraged. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Event is outdoors, so please dress appropriately. Please bring a basket for the eggs. Register online
 
6. Easter Egg Hunt at Memorial Park in Vadnais Heights: Saturday, March 28th starting @ 10:30 a.m. with staggered start time with age.
Join the Easter Bunny for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! This free event is hosted by the City and the Vadnais Heights Lions Club; however, non-perishable food items will be collected for the Vadnais Heights Community Food Program. Donations appreciated!
