The days surrounding the holidays can be so much fun. From getting together with your family and friends to the baking, wrapping, shopping, making hand made gifts; that is what it is all about. Creating traditions possibly carried down from past generations or creating your own, those special moments are what the kids will remember as they grow older. Be sure to have others pitch in on the chores that need to be done before the company arrives, have fun while you are preparing for the holidays. I have noticed that the kids love to help out and so when I give them a job to help me I can see the pride in their eyes as they do their best to help you carry out whatever task you have given them. You may have to go over whatever they have done again but they don't have to know that. Kids for the most part just want to be with you and be your helper. I think so many of my memories are with the fun activities that I did with my children or what I did with my parents growing up.
