Grandma's Recipe for Apple Pudding

By Barbara Evangelista October 8, 2015
The best recipes always seem to come from Grandma! This has been a favorite recipe of mine since I was a child. It comes together in 5 or 10 minutes and creates a wonderful smell in your home while baking. It's delicious with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and would also be wonderful made with ripe peaches, bananas or blueberries.
Ingredients
  • 1 egg, well-beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped apples (1 medium to large apple should be enough)
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Mix dry ingredients. Stir in egg then fold in apples and nuts. Bake in a greased dish about 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
