What are your Kids Wearing this 4th of July?

Try this fun craft and T-shirt idea!

A friend saw this idea on Pinterest (I cannot remember where we first saw it!?) and we had a little crafting party for my little one and his friends to make these cute shirts! He wore it on the 4th and I'm also planning for him to wear it again on Labor Day!

To make your own, follow the simple directions below.  Hint, hint...get a larger size and they can wear it for Memorial Day and next July 4 too!

You'll need:
*Plain white t-shirt or tank top
*Blue and red fabric paint
*Sponge tipped paint brush
*Cardboard (to fit inside t-shirt)

Place the cardboard inside the t-shirt so that the paint doesn't "glue" the insides of the shirt together.

Paint your child's hand blue and place it where you would normally have the "stars" on the flag.
Then, using the sponge tipped paint brush, paint your red lines (draw as many as you'd like.  I know...I know...my shirts don't have the appropriate number of stripes, but they still look cute!)

Let dry overnight.

Enjoy!
