'We Are All Uncle Sam'- Fun 4th of July Craft!

By Jennifer Hanson, Macaroni PM July 2, 2015
Thank you to everyone who came out to see us at the Boone and Ames Downtown Farmers Markets this week! We had a great time with both new and loved Macaroni Kid families making and celebrating July 4th as Uncle Sam! What a fun and festive craft to take along to all the parades and community events next weekend!

Best news of all- its fast and easy for most ages!

All you need is:
--Paper plate with the center cut out (optional: add more than one paper plate to strengthen the mask- especially helpful for heavier card stock hats.)
--Red cardstock paper for hat
--White thin stripes made from cut card stock or construction paper
--One thick blue stripe for the brim (also out of card stock or construction paper)
--Stars (I purchased stickers from Walmart for "Farmers Market-ease", however you can cut them out of paper)
--Cotton balls for the beard
--Of course, glue to stick it all together!
--(optional) a tongue depressor or popsicle stick to hold on to.

Have a happy and safe Independence Day, Macaroni's!!
